Bradford Civic Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Ruth Frost as its new Membership Secretary, with responsibility for attracting new members and improving membership benefits.

Ruth brings a wealth of experience from the charity sector, where she currently works for a national not-for-profit organisation to increase the participation of women in STEM [Science Technology Engineering and Maths].

Ruth says: “I want to support and champion Bradford Civic Society, increasing and diversifying its membership, because I’m passionate about how much wonderful architecture we have to protect and enjoy, as well as how much potential for great new design and development we have! I feel Bradford is at a turning point and I want to be a positive part of that change.”

One of Ruth’s first initiatives will be to improve the sign-up process for new members, and new membership cards and welcome letters are being sent out in August.
