It’s been a busy week of press coverage for Bradford Civic Society. On Monday, we joined BBC Radio Leeds to promote some of Bradford’s hidden architectural gems, such as the Howard Street Mosque (pictured above). Our live broadcast was part of a campaign by Historic England to write ‘love letters’ to special buildings. You can listen again to the Richard Stead breakfast show here. Bradford Civic Society’s broadcast is approximately one hour in, just after the 7am news.
Elsewhere, our Chairperson was also interviewed by the BBC about Bradford’s new market proposals and the Bradford Telegraph and Argus ran an update on our developing blue plaque plans, which you can read here. The BBC also picked up the blue plaque story on Wednesday.
If you’re working on a Bradford story and would like to speak to someone from the Civic Society, get in touch here.
