Bradford Civic Society unveiled the city’s first ‘new style’ blue plaque for Bradford on Saturday 2 March at the newly refurbished St George’s Hall.
The replacement plaque was unveiled by Cllr Susan Hinchcliffe next to the Hall Ings entrance, with Imran Hussain MP and assembled guests in attendance. Cllr Hinhcliffe told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus, “I know it’s been a long time coming but when you look around and see what’s been done here, the uncovering of the old mosaic floor. it’s really wonderful. It’s a bit of Bradford heritage, ready for everybody to enjoy. The blue plaque looks fantastic on the side of the building too.”
More new plaques for Bradford are planned for the coming months.
