Sunbridge Wells shortlisted for civic design award

Sunbridge Wells – Bradford’s subterranean complex of boutique shops, bars, restaurants and market stalls – has been shortlisted for a Civic Voice Design Award after being nominated by Bradford Civic Society.

The development, which opened in December 2016, made the shortlist in the Historic Building category.

Bradford Civic Society Chairman Alan Hall hailed the shortlisting of this important regeneration project as “excellent news”. Alan said: “We simply believe there’s nothing like it in the UK, and we’re proud to have it in Bradford. The arrival of Sunbridge Wells is not only a shot in the arm for our city centre, but a much-needed source of inspiration and civic pride for those Bradfordians who are looking for a compelling reason to start loving their city again.”

The awards take place in London at the Houses of Parliament later this summer.
